We strive for the improvement of our scientific understanding and apply the same at our workplaces for the interest of the ailing people who come to us for cure & relief.
We encourage our members to conduct research activities and intend to use the acquired knowledge therefrom for policy planning and improved implementation of health care activities through out the state.
We fight against aberrations of scientific ideas, stigmas and try to popularise rational thinking.
We oppose all forces those try to pollute the environment, physical, mental and social, to safeguard the community, particularly the poor and disadvantaged.
We condemn all forces who use the scientific discoveries in the field of medicine with petty profiteering interest as through such they bring pain to the mankind.
We believe that rendering health care should not be guided by the philosophy of charity but recognition to the 'Right to Health' of every citizen.
We strongly oppose the commoditization and privatization of health care; thus creating a medical industrial complex at the cost of impoverishment of millions of people.
We are of the opinion that the government, be it state or central, should bear the responsibility of rendering basic health care to all the citizens of our country.
We promise to uphold the banner of public sector health care delivery system as it is the only one that can at least protect the ailing poor and disadvantaged population to some extent. We attach ourselves to all activities directed to protect public sector health care system as well as endeavour untiringly to improve them.
We believe that a number of social determinants affect the health status of a country vis-à-vis that of individual citizen. Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, gender inequity, cast-class divisions are few of them. Thus, struggle for good health is inseparably connected with the struggle for social equity; against impoverishment, unemployment, exploitation.
We demand a political and economic policy from the state that can address these social issues lying at the root of all ill health and fight to realise it.
We promise to struggle for it to the last, joining hands with all the forces who think alike and struggle for the same.
